Admissions Process
We are currently accepting applications for Batch #3 from May to August 2022.
Application form should be downloaded, printed and filled by the applicant.
Fill in the form and ensure you attach the following documents:
- Two passport-sized photos
- Statement of purpose
- Certified high school or post-secondary education certificates and transcripts
- Three recommendations from referees
- Financial commitment form
- Completed students permit (non-South Sudanese)
- Registration fee of SSP 1,500 in banker’s cheque, payable to Good Shepherd College & Seminary
You are welcomed to pick up a form from our campus or download it on our website. When you have completed filling the application, you can email or bring it in person. A non-refundable administration charge of SSP 1,500 is made for each application. This payment must accompany the submission of this form and no application will be processed or accepted without such payment.
Eligibility
Basic Entry Requirements
- The minimum requirement to study for the Advanced Certificate program is a high school (Secondary School Certificate) grade of C- or 60 % points or pass or its equivalent.
- Applicants with work experience of not less than 3 years and age above 25 years may be considered mature age entrance basis upon passing a compulsory entrance or placement examination administered by the College & Seminary each semester.
- Students enrolling for the Advanced Certificate program must have a considerable knowledge of English language (both written and oral). Students from the Arabic language background will be subjected to not less than two levels of strict English classes before or while undertaking certificate courses. No level of education is required for students attending English courses, but a placement test is required.
- No strict academic requirements for students/participants attending non-grading certificates or short courses. Such students/participants are selected and recommended by the Church leadership or the sponsoring organization, then screened and admitted. For short courses, the college & seminary targets people already involved in leadership both in church, communities, and other institutions despite their level of education.
- Students transferring from other educational institutions may be subjected to a supplementary standard of exemptions in accordance with the policy of Good Shepherd College & Seminary or its collaborating institution like Daystar University.
- Being a Christian-based liberal art college and seminary, GSCS will admit students who profess faith in Christ.
- Women and people with special needs will be given priority of admission.
- Entry requirements may change without notice in accordance to policies, rules, and regulations of the National Ministry of Education as well as of the College & Seminary and may be revised from time to time by the board of the Good Shepherd Educational Foundation.
Intakes
GSCS has two intakes in a year: May and August. Please arrange your time accordingly.
